Our Own Little Slice Of Paradise- June 14, 2007

Dean and Colleen Moxley lived in "our" new home for 32 years raising their children (and occasionally their grandchildren) and caring for their parents. Their generous and loving spirit, not to mention their numerous creative talents, fill the home and yard and we are blessed to now call it "ours."
We are in the peak growing season and Portland is not called the City of Roses for nothing. The Rose Garden in Washington Park has some of the most varied and beautiful assortment of roses we have ever seen (yes, even better than beautiful Elizabeth Park in Hartford!)

Locally grown "Hood" strawberries and cherries are especially sweet and tasty. Here are some shots of a single rose bush and the first harvest of the cherry tree in our own backyard.
